My name is Spruha Pitre and I hold a Master of Engineering (ME) in Electrical Power Systems, having passed my exams with distinction and maintaining a strong academic record throughout my education. While pursuing my ME, I worked with diploma students, and after completing my Bachelor of Engineering (BE), I began teaching engineering students. 

I was also an active participant in the IEEE Student Awareness Program, which involved visiting schools to educate students about the current scenarios in various fields and career prospects. This initiative further fueled my passion for career counseling as I saw firsthand how informed guidance could positively impact students career choices.

Throughout my teaching career, I encountered many students who were pursuing engineering solely due to parental pressure. This realization came into sharp focus when I spoke with my students about their struggles and aspirations. One memorable case involved a student who had excelled in hotel management entrance exam, achieving a top rank, yet was compelled by his parents to enrol in engineering. Through my counseling, I have helped him complete his graduation with good records, setting him on the path to fulfilling careers. This was just one of many such stories.

Witnessing these situations made me recognize the profound need for early and accurate career guidance. Many students, like the one I mentioned, were underperforming not due to a lack of ability, but because their true interests lay elsewhere. They were losing valuable years pursuing paths that did not align with their passions and strengths.

This insight motivated me to start working with students more closely, helping them explore their interests and potential career paths. I realized that proper guidance at the right age could prevent these young individuals from drifting into unsuitable careers and allow them to pursue fields where they could truly excel and find satisfaction.
